After enduring years of unfulfilled lives marred by numerous traumas, addictions, and setbacks, Marcus and Michelle Bennett reached a pivotal moment. In a transformative act of surrender, they entrusted their lives to the redemptive power of the Lord Jesus Christ. This spiritual commitment became the catalyst for profound healing and deliverance, liberating them from the persistent challenges that had haunted them since childhood. United in their faith and newfound purpose, Marcus and Michelle embarked on a mission to extend the same transformative power to others, leading to the establishment of The Community Healing Project. Their personal journey serves as a testament to the potential for redemption and recovery, inspiring hope and providing a guiding light for individuals and families on the path to healing.
We believe that with the right support, anyone can overcome addiction, rebuild their lives, and create a brighter future for themselves and their families.

Founders
Marcus Bennett &
Michelle Stewart-Bennett
Marcus & Michelle are the founders of The Community Healing Project.
Michelle has over 15 plus years of experience in the Mental Health and Health Care sectors. She currently holds her Bachelors Degree in Nursing with aspirations to further her education.
Marcus has served as a director, supervisor and counselor in the field of drug and alcohol rehabilitation and currently functions as a retail sales manager.
Aside from their secular careers, the couple faithfully serve as youth leaders in their home church (CCOP), minister through music as Marked & Married, and host a YouTube channel focused on uplifting and building strong marriages and families.

Bishop Claudius Cooper &
Prophetess Salome Cooper
Bishop Claudius and Prophetess Salome Cooper both hail from Monrovia, Liberia. They were married in 1994 and are blessed with ten children. The family presently resides in Lincoln, RI and serve as the pastors of Christ Center of Praise Full Gospel Churches of Providence, RI and Worcester, MA, as well as overseeing several CCOP churches in West Africa.
They are both graduates of The Monrovia Bible Training Center in Monrovia, Liberia and Spiritual Life Bible College in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota.
Prior to their migration to the United States, Claudius and Salome Cooper founded Christ Center of Praise in Liberia and served as head pastors for nine years.
Jeanette Shorrow-Gerring
Jeanette is a native Rhode Islander with over 20 years of business leadership experience in the financial and service sectors.
Currently serving as the Branch Manager of Santander Bank in Providence Rhode Island. She has built a reputation for operational excellence, innovative strategic thinking, working with the highest level of integrity, and a deep and passionate commitment to her clients and community.
Outside work, she enjoys spending time with her family and volunteering at local charities.

Amanda Lomba
Amanda Lomba, a native of Rhode Island and accomplished Senior Insurance Agent, as well as a faithful member and worker at Christ Center of Praise Full Gospel Ministries, finds purpose in family bonds and community connections.
Raised in the heart of RI, she brings a unique blend of professionalism and genuine warmth to her role. Amanda’s personal journey, touched by the impact of addiction, fuels her dedication to supporting individuals on their path to recovery.
Her story is not just a narrative; it’s a testament to resilience and compassion in both her professional and personal pursuits.
Jamal Kpoto
Jamal Kpoto is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island and currently serves as a corporate accountant for Lifespan.
He has lived in the city of Providence, Rhode Island all of his life and relishes the small family community the city brings.
Jamal enjoys working out on his off days, attending church and traveling when he gets the chance.
Yolanda Kennedy
Yolanda Kennedy is a native of New Jersey
and current resident of Rhode Island. She serves as a Payroll/HRIS Specialist in the non-profit community with over 10 years of experience in Human Resources and Payroll Management. She is the 7th out of 8 siblings.
Unfortunately, drug addiction plagued her family at one point which is why she is so committed to TCHP.
Ms. Kennedy knows the heavy toll that having a family member struggling with addiction can play on the entire family, but she is still very hopeful that with the help of God, all things are possible and those chains can be broken. She has seen it in her family and is excited to be apart of this organization to see it happen for so many
other families.
Bethanie Franklin
Bethanie Franklin was born and raised in East Providence, RI. She has been employed in the Healthcare Industry for the past 20 years with being a Certified Medical Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant, and a Phlebotomist.
She is also the blessed mother of two amazingly intelligent and kind hearted girls who are absolutely everything to her.
Bethanie considers it an honor to be apart of TCHP. Married for 6 years to her husband Mike, her family has fought their battles with addiction which is why this organization is so dear to her heart. "Addiction affects families, and with Jesus at the center of our heart, those obstacles become substantially less complicated."
Her hope is that we can touch as many people as we can through Jesus to help fight this battle.
Bob G. Teah, Sr.
With a career spanning over 15 years in Human and Public Service, Bob has been an invaluable asset to the State of Rhode Island. He has dedicated his service to empowering striving families across the state.
Mr. Teah has exemplified an unwavering commitment to public service throughout his tenure with the State of Rhode Island consistently striving to improve the lives of families by ensuring they have access to essential services and resources.
As an Eligibility Technician, Bob has been a staunch advocate for families in need by navigating complex requirements and procedures, ultimately enabling families access to vital support systems
His proficiency and dedication have directly contributed to the well being of numerous families, fostering a positive impact on the communities served.
Asiata Teah
Asiata Teah has over two decades of dedicated and steadfast service as an advocate for the well-being of mothers, children and families affected by domestic violence.
Through her work with non-profit organizations, she has played a pivotal role in empowering and supporting these vulnerable groups to thrive and lead fulfilling lives.
Mrs. Teah has demonstrated exceptional leadership within the non-profit sector, spearheading initiatives and programs aimed at providing essential support and resources to all victims of domestic abuse.
She currently works with individuals with intellectual disabilities and is a vocal advocate for their rights. Her efforts have created a more supportive and nurturing environment for these individuals.
